Japan should be in your bucket list

If Japan is indeed part of your 'must visit' list, then good for you!
My husband and I travel internationally at least twice a year and Japan was in our to dos. We travelled on January 1st which was perfect since winter just started and I really enjoyed the cold weather plus the intermittent snowfall 😊

Few tips:
JR Pass is good if you are traveling to different cities. Other than main lines, there are few subways where you can use JR pass (go to google maps and type to and from location). Note that JR bus in Tokyo going to Narita isn't included in the pass. It will cost you about 1000 Jpy from tokyo main station bus terminal. Don't forget to reserve as well your seats if you are traveling to another city.

Sim card- Buy a sim card. Internet was our best friend when we were there. You need to search and use maps most of the time.

Hotel near subways- always check if it's few steps from the train station. We booked APA in Osaka as well as in Ginza-Tokyo.

Tours- Be early and add time to search the meeting place.

Winter clothes and moisturizer - if you are traveling during winter season, be ready with your jackets and hoods also never forget your moisturizers.

Food is awesome- street food costs about 200-300 jpy while restaurants will cost 500 up per person. Shabu shabu in 7/11 or family mart is actually good and cheap as well.

Must see:
Universal Studios Osaka- make sure to get the express pass otherwise you'll waste precious time especially at the Harry Potter rides.

Dotonbori Osaka- great shops.. you'll definitely enjoy the food as well

Kyoto- From Osaka, it's just less than an hour depending on the station. They have the best steak.

Okachimachi shops in Tokyo- close to monorail station are the jewelry shops and others like cheap bags, clothes etc..

Ginza, Tokyo- If you are not on a budget type of traveller, then you can stay in this area and you can easily visit luxury/designers' shops.

Shibuya, Tokyo- Of course you need to experience crossing the pedestrian in Shibuya 😊 also they have good bars and restaurants.

Tokyo Disneyland or Disney Sea or do both if you have time.  I used Klook since they have promos for visa card holders.

Mt Fuji, Tokyo- checkout the available tours and book it prior to your travel. It's breathtaking but checkout weather forecast as they may not allow your bus to go to go to the nearest station.

Enjoy your travel!
